IJHCI call for papers, submissions were due October 4, 1999.

International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction special issue calling for empirical studies (both quantitative and qualitative), case studies and special experiences demonstrating the (in)effectiveness of the web for sharing information, conducting business, and collaborating with colleagues.

Some topics of submissions could be studies about:

  • techniques to support effective navigation
  • when and how graphics, animation, or other media can be used to increase usability
  • evaluations of alternative techniques to support accessibility
  • differences between information dissemination and e-commerce
