How to plot past traffic to estimate future capacity.

By using a logarithmic scale to plot exponential growth of page visits over time, you can guess at how much server capacity is needed to keep your site feeling fast.

Use of regression analysis also described so you can determine if spikes in usage are significant.

Ironically, Nielsen's own site was hit hard following this article and he had to upgrade!
